Crittenden Land & Cattle Company Stock Certificate Tucson, Arizona Territory 1887. Pretty green on cream printing with vignette of a bull's head printed in brown in the body. This certificate No. 4 issued to the Co. President "R. R. Richardson" for 1000 shares (representing 5% of the company stock). "Crittenden" was originally "Fort Crittenden" which was established in 1868 about 40 miles south of Tucson but abandoned by 1873. "Casa Blanca", a hamlet of 50 people next to the fort remained & renamed their site "Crittenden." The Richardson family later owned a large tract of land there including the fort site. They promoted the "Crittenden Land & Cattle Company" stock, but in the late 1890's, Rollen Richardson moved his trading post, town site, and the railroad station from Crittenden to nearby Patagonia during a mining boom. Measures approximately 9.75" x 5.25".

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
