William F. (Buffalo Bill) Cody: Parker Brothers Board Game. In 1898, Parker Brothers of Salem, Massachusetts, produced this board game cashing in on the popularity of Buffalo Bill with children of all ages. Titled: "The Game of Buffalo Bill", the cover has a full-color image of a buffalo hunt, teepees and a central portrait of Buffalo Bill, rifle in hand, leading a cavalry charge. The box measures 15" x 9" x 5/8". The interior of the lid has printed rules for the game which stipulate that: "A player who has captured at least ten Buffalo Heads, and gets back to camp first, wins the game." The inside of the box has four wooden game pieces and a spinner. The playing board is printed on paper which has been affixed to the inside of the bottom of the box. The game is complete and in excellent condition.
