Lot of 63 Western Letters & Documents to Gen. H. G. Thomas, ca. 1860s-1880s. Very nice lot of documents, letters, receipts, etc., to Union Army Brigadier General H. G. Thomas and postwar frontier Army paymaster, in the Dakotas, from friends, officers, businessmen, on news, business & Army pay matters. Many are from western posts, 20 or so have notations by Thomas listing where he was stationed when receiving the letters. A lot of them from Dakota Territory Forts, including Ransom, Sykes, Snelling, Lyons, Steele, Custer, & Totten. There are also pre-printed & handwritten documents, letters, receipts, and more. This lot should be investigated a great deal for interesting Western ephemera.

    Very good-very fine.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
