Lot of 15 Trade Tokens and Linen Tobacco Pouch.
Comprising: (1-10) Lee and Reynolds Cheyenne Agency Trade Check coins. Nickel-plated. Reverse with image of Bison. One example pierced for necklace string. William Lee and Albert Eugene Reynolds formed their partnership in 1869 at Camp Supply as post sutlers and "Indian Traders." Camp Supply was the temporary location of the Cheyenne and Arapahoe Agency. It later moved to Darlington Oklahoma as did Lee and Reynolds. Lee and Reynolds were frequent visitors whose names show up several times in our Conrad & Rath store ledger being sold in this sale. These tokens were produced 1873-1881 and likely were for use at that location. Included in this lot are three Lee and Reynolds Camp Supply dollars. Item 14 is a Denison, Texas "Alamo Bar" dollar. Item 15 being a rare, mint Dunlap & Florer Osage Traders Dollar. According to the consignor most of these tokens were found in the accompanying tobacco sack, squirreled away in a Sharps rifle crate. The very faded sack has a vestige of the original label which read: RED INDIAN/THIS TOBACCO IS CAREFULLY SELECTED FROM THREE YEAR OLD FINEST MELLOW LEAF AND IS THE BEST SMOKING AND CHEWING TOBACCO THAT MONEY CAN PURCHASE/AMERICAN TOBACCO COMPANY.

Condition: All very good to fine showing light use. Dunlap & Florer token is mint as previously noted. Sack is fair to good showing considerable wear.
