    Court Document Intent to Kill and Murder Wyoming 1897 - Two sided document, In part; "The State of Wyoming, County of Johnson, in the district court for said County." Information comes now T. P. Hill County and prosecuting attorney of the County of Johnson, in the State of Wyoming, and in the name and by the authority of the State of Wyoming, informs the court, and gives the court to understand that F. P. Purdin late of the county aforesaid, on the 19th day of March A. D. 1897, at the county of Johnson, in the state of Wyoming, did "Unlawfully, willfully, maliciously and feloniously perpetrate an assault upon one George Roberts, by shooting at the said Roberts with a certain pistol loaded with gunpowder and leaden bullets, with intent then and there, feloniously and of his malice aforethought to kill and murder the said George Roberts." In period ink along left hand said of document May, 3rd 1897, defendant arraigned. and defendant plea of "Not Guilty". Measures approximately 8.50" x 14"
