    COLT SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER - Serial number 165640, circa 1896. 4 ¾" barrel in .44-40 calibre. This revolver was made during the first year the transverse cylinder pin became standard. Barrel marked on top with two line address and 'COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER' on left side. All serial numbers match and factory stampings are clear and legible. Hard rubber checkered Colt logo grips. Mechanically functional. Accompanying this lot is a leather holster, single loop marked, 'JOS. SULLIVAN - MAKER - FT. BENTON. M.T.'

    Condition: Traces of original blue. Balance of metal surfaces evidence normal dings and nicks with exception of some minor pitting on left side of barrel and around ejector housing. Holster is very sound, trimmed only in the area by the triggerguard.
