Buffalo Bill Wild West: Cut Out Game & Toy Rifle. The promotion of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show was not restricted to posters and programs. Toy manufacturers were licensed to produce Buffalo Bill items to sell to the general public. Given their limited distribution, some of these are quite rare. This extraordinary wooden rubber-band-powered toy rifle is 35" long and marked "Buffalo Bill" on the stock. It "Shoots Every Thing/Arrows, Peas, Beans, Sticks, Stones, Marbles etc. etc.": Anything, in short, that could fit in the groove on top of the "barrel." Made and marketed in 1885, this very rare toy comes with an 1885 advertising card and its original envelope. These are joined with a framed set of three McLoughlin Bros. die cuts (in excellent condition) sold at the Wild West Show at the same time in the mid-1880s.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
