Buffalo Bill Wild West: 39 "Buffalo Bill" Pulp & Aldine Novels. All are fragile in the way of pulp publications, but most can be said to be in fair to good condition. The exceptions will be noted. This representative collection of Buffalo Bill "pulp novels" includes the small format (7-1/2" x 5-1/4") Aldine series published between about 1901 and 1915 in England with their original American cover art. (And, because of their superior paper, they are in better condition than their American and other European counterparts.) The other magazines are all approximately 11" x 8-1/2". Published in New York there are six issues of Street & Smith's "New Buffalo Bill Weekly" (1913-1914) and one issue of "The Buffalo Bill Stories" (1902; this is the only magazine in this set that can be said to be in truly poor condition). There is one German-language issue and six French-language issues of the serial entitled simply "Buffalo Bill," and ten issues of "The Buffalo Bill Stories" in French. The French magazines are all particularly fragile. All have the color covers of the Street & Smith originals, mostly based on water colors by artist Robert Prowse. The continental magazines were mostly published between 1908 and 1915. A good start to a great collection.
