[Klondike Gold Rush]. Lot of Five Klondike Photographs including: Steamer White Horse in Five Finger Rapids. 7.25" x 9.25". The boat is seen plowing up the Yukon river in western Canada. All four corners are damaged with light chipping along the edges. [and:] "Pelkey Fraction" by A. B. Kinne. 10" x 8". A group of buildings is shown near a hillside and dumpsite. The caption reads, in negative: "Famous 'Pelkey Fraction' has produced nearly $100,000 and is still rich, yet it contains less than one acre of ground." Photo is wrinkled and unevenly toned, especially along the edges. Albert B. Kinne was a photographer in San Francisco before moving north to Nome, Alaska. He worked with the Wild Goose Mining and Trading Company before moving eighty miles east to the mining camp of Council City. [and:] Miners in Nome, Alaska by E. A. Hegg. 8.5" x 6.5". A group of twenty men are pictured around a donkey loaded down with provisions for a mining expedition. The caption reads, in negative: "Miners starting from Nome on prospecting trip." Four horizontal fold creases have cracked the photo. Eric A. Hegg (1867-1948) was a Swedish-born American photographer and miner who documented the daily lives of miners during the Klondike Gold Rush. [and:] Hydraulic Elevator by A. B. Kinne. 10" x 8".Hydraulic mining operations are depicted. The caption reads, in negative: "Hydraulic elevator and giant at No 19 1/9 ophir. Operated by Wild Goose Co." Lightly toned with minor cracking throughout. [and:] Hauling Lumber by A. B. Kinne. 10" x 8". Teams of horses are seen pulling sleighs weighed down with logs through snow.
