[Johnny Baker]. Pair of Important Albums. The pairing includes one scrapbook, 8" x 10", inscribed by Johnny Baker to his younger daughter, Gladys. The main contents are clippings from British papers about Buffalo Bill's 1903 performances with an emphasis, of course, on Johnny Baker. Included are several 6" x 9" photographs of Johnny Baker, scenes in the Wild West, and a superb shot in the arena at Olympia of the entire Wild West cast honoring Buffalo Bill on his birthday, February 26, 1903.

The second book is a photograph album, 4.5" x 7.25", kept by Johnny Baker. Several of the pictures were taken in and around Tucson, Arizona, and they show Cody's High Jinks Ranch and the Campo Bonito mines (one includes Buffalo Bill himself). There is a wonderful and unique, black-and-white 3" x 5" image of Johnny Baker posing with a group of Wild West cowgirls, seven small snapshots of scenes in the Wild West show, and several family photos. Some photographs have handwritten captions, in unknown hands. The albums are slightly fragile, but the images are well preserved. Only one page in the photo album has images that have been taken out. The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
