Virginia & Truckee Railroad Timetable Broadside, 1895.
This scarce double-sided broadside from the Virginia & Truckee Railroad was not published for the general public but rather for the employees of the railroad company. It notes, "For the government and information of employees only, and is not intended for the public." This railroad company was built by the Comstock mining financial kings, William Sharon and William Ralston of San Francisco. It was to carry Comstock ore from Virginia City, Silver Hill and Gold Hill to the Carson City mint and then to return with supplies to the Comstock lode. The railroad line ran from Virginia City, Carson City and Reno totaling 52 miles. This broadside represents an early and important glimpse at the Comstock's only railroad operating in its prime. 16.75" x 13.75" in size.

    Very good, discoloration.
