    Flown on the first manned private spaceplane, winner of the Ansari X Prize.

    SpaceShipOne Flown Photo on Signed Certificate. A 6" x 4" color photo mounted to a 7.25" x 9.5" (sight size) Payload Certificate stating: "We hereby certify that the photograph affixed to this certificate flew into space aboard SpaceShipOne on 29 September 2004." It is signed by X1 Pilot "Mike Melvill", X2 Pilot "Brian Binnie", X Prize Founder "Peter H Diamandis", and X Prize Executive Director "G Maryniak". This was the second official spaceflight of this privately funded and developed space ship. After one additional flight five days later, it was retired and is now on display in the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum. The $10 million X Prize was offered to the first non-government organization to launch a reusable manned spacecraft into space twice within two weeks. Double matted and elegantly framed to an overall 14.25" x 17.25". Excellent condition.
