    Skylab II (SL-3) Flown and Worn Full Set of Four Flight Coverall Patches Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Pilot Jack Lousma, Signed and Certified, with Signed COA. The Skylab Space Station did not have laundry facilities so the astronauts would dispose of their worn clothing. These patches were removed from one of Lousma's pairs of flight overalls before he disposed of them. Consists of: Flag- 5" x 2.75" American flag, worn on the left upper sleeve; NASA Insignia- 3.75" x 3.75" "Meatball" design, worn on the right chest; Skylab II Insignia- 3.75" x 3.75", worn on the left chest; and Name Tag- 3.75" x 0.75" "J. LOUSMA", worn on the left chest above the mission insignia. They have been matted and framed together, 12" x 10" overall, with a printed statement: "These four items were worn on my inflight overalls and were flown on the Skylab Space Station during July 28 - September 25, 1973", signed "Jack Lousma". Rarely offered; great for display. All four patches are in very fine condition with general wear and light soiling.

    Included with this lot is a letter of authenticity signed "Jack Lousma" on his letterhead, stating (in full): "I hereby certify the four patches that accompany this letter were originally sewn to my in-flight coveralls worn by me while flying aboard Skylab II (SL-3) July 28 - September 25, 1973. The four patches include the U.S. Flag, my nametag, the Skylab II mission emblem and the NASA emblem. I personally cut these from my coveralls prior to leaving Skylab, and they have been in my possession since the mission."
