The photo taken right after the famous "Earthrise."

Apollo 8 and Apollo 6 Official "Red Number" Color Glossy Photos, Group of Twelve. A grouping of original NASA and MSC 10" x 8" color glossies, all with the early red number captions. Three are from the Apollo 8 mission to the moon and include: (1) AS8-14-2384. This is the image taken just after (and is very similar to) the legendary "Earthrise" photo. Pristine condition.; (2) As8-16-2616. The moon crater Langrenus as taken on December 24, 1968, from 150 nautical miles up. Excellent condition with just a tiny piece of attached paper; and (3) AS8-16-2593. A photo of Earth, showing nearly the entire western hemisphere. Excellent save for some scattered pieces of extraneous paper stuck to the surface. All of the Apollo 8 images have full printed original captions taped to the back.

There are nine images from Apollo 6 that launched on April 4, 1968, the last of the unmanned test flights. Photo numbers as follows: AS6-2-937, AS6-2-1433, AS6-2-1437, AS6-2-1442, AS6-2-1445, AS6-2-1449, AS6-2-1455; AS6-2-1462; and AS6-2-1468. All in excellent condition with blank backs. From the estate of NASA engineer Richard C. Proffitt, Launch Complex 39 Operations Manager from 1969 to 1976.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
