Soyuz 18 Photo Album Inscribed and Signed by crewmembers Pyotr Klimuk and Vitaly Sevastyanov, "To Ivan Gringorivich Borisenko in appreciation for your work and help, Pyotr Klimuk and Vitaly Sevastyanov signed on the landing date July 26, 1975" ( in Russian). The album, 11.75" x 8.5", has a blue bound cover and is and in very fine condition. It contains twelve pages of secret Soviet images (eight B&W and five color) of the arrival and pre-launch activities at Baikonur Cosmodrome. This photo album was signed on the day the cosmonauts landed in Kazakhstan after their record-breaking long-duration space flight, which lasted from May 24 through July, 26, 1975. The crew in this Soviet-manned mission to Salyut 4 was the second and final crew to man the space station. Pyotr Klimuk and Vitaly Sevastyanov set a new Soviet space-endurance record of 63 days; they also tied the record for the most people in space simultaneously (seven).

The pictures included in the album were taken mostly at Baikonur, the top secret location of launch, by government photographers. The pictures included in the album were taken mostly at Baikonur, the top secret location of launch by government photographers. These were top secret photos of the events, beginning with the crews' arrival at the Cosmodrome. Subjects include the preparation of the launch, the government commission and participants that were responsible for the flight, activities on the launch pad, journey to the launch pad, the rocket ready for launch, and more. All of these pictures could not - and most never would - be exposed to the public because of the top-secret designation placed on them by the U.S.S.R. government for over thirty-five years. This album was made for one of the participants present at the launch; he had top secret government clearance to have these photos in his possession.
