Description

    Skylab II (SL-3) Flown Group of Three Bungee Straps Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Pilot Jack Lousma, with Signed COA. Three metal bungee straps or cords with snap closures and hooks on a cloth strip at each end. Two are 7" long (unextended) with the part number "V36-601171-11". The other is identical, except 11.25" long, with a part number of "V36-601171-21". These are described by NASA as "Data Retention Hook Assemblies, Long and Short" and were used on the mission. Excellent condition.

    Included with this lot is a letter of authenticity signed "Jack Lousma" on his letterhead, stating (in full): "I hereby certify that the accompanying Bungee Straps, Serial Numbers 06362AAK0397, 06362AAK0398, and 06362AAK0426 (longest strap) were flown and used to temporarily restrain items from floating in zero-g aboard Skylab II (SL-3) July 28 - September 25, 1973. They are from my personal collection and have been in my possession since the mission."
