DescriptionSkylab II (SL-3) Flown and Worn Pair of Metal Triangle Shoe Cleats Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Pilot Jack Lousma, Signed and Certified, with Signed COA. A very interesting pair of items: one red (right foot- P/N: BW-2091-004, SN: 025); and one blue (left foot, P/N: BW-2091-003, S/N: 025) triangular-shaped, heavy-weight, shoe cleats, 3.125" x 2.75" x 0.625" overall in size, made to be screwed on the bottom of Lousma's shoes. These enabled Lousma to maneuver around the Skylab Space Station. Lousma has signed each one: "Flown/ Skylab II/ Jack Lousma". Also from his personal collection, he has included a 10" x 8" original NASA color lithographic print of him during the mission actually wearing these same cleats. He has drawn arrows to the cleats, noting: "Red & Blue Triangle Cleats" and he has signed: "Jack Lousma/ Pilot/ Skylab II". Excellent condition save for some minor paint loss from steady use.
Included with this lot is a letter of authenticity signed "Jack Lousma" on his letterhead where he explains the use of these cleats, in part: "I hereby certify that the pair of accompanying metal Triangle Shoe Cleats... are the pair that were attached to my shoes and used every day by me on Skylab II (SL-3) July 28 - September 25, 1973. The triangles fit the grid work of the floor, ceiling, and work station platforms on the interior of the Skylab Space Station. The triangle shoe cleats were inserted into the triangle grid and the heels were rotated outboard to lock the cleats to the grid for body stabilization. Rotating heels inboard freed the cleats from the grid. These cleats are from my personal collection and have been in my possession since the mission."

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
HA.com receives more traffic than any other auction house website. (Source: Similarweb.com)
