DescriptionSilver Model Of "Blue Bird" From Malcolm Campbell To Financier Marian Carstairs This model of the 1931 land speed record setting Napier Campbell "Blue Bird" driven by Captain Sir Malcolm Campbell was a personal gift from Malcolm Campbell to Ms. Marian Carstairs, one of his main financiers for this endeavor. Ms. Carstairs, a British power boat racer known for her speed and eccentric lifestyle, paid $10,000 to fund the building of the 1,300 H.P. Blue Bird, which reached a speed of 246.08 mph.
