Grumman Apollo Lunar Module Operations Handbook Pages in Binder Titled "LEM Info Book 2". Originally used and annotated by Ross Fleisig during Project Apollo, the Apollo LM Program's Project Leader for Space Trajectory, Guidance, and Control-System Analysis. Consists of a number of 8.5" x 11" pages in a binder from Apollo Operations Handbook, Lunar Module, for LM-3, LM-7. Each Lunar Module was a hand-made machine. This book literally comprises part of the owner's manual for LM-3 (Spider) and LM-7 (Aquarius). The manual, in its original binder, contains many fold-out schematics (with oxidized connecting tape removed). These have been hand-highlighted in different colors and occasionally annotated by Fleisig. Of particular interest are the last sheets, detailing Fleisig's final checklist sequence and its gradual completion - on the Apollo 13 Lunar Module, including items of significance to what was to become the LM Lifeboat: "Install Water Control Module; Install Glare Shields; Install Crewman Optical Alignment Sight." All signs of wear and tear date to the Apollo program - particularly during the Apollo 13 mission, in which every revision of the hull and other structures that differentiated Aquarius from other LMs needed to be identified and evaluated. Very good condition overall. From the collection of scientist and author Charles Pellegrino.
