DescriptionGemini 10 Flown Fliteline Silver-Colored Medallion Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Commander John Young. This 25mm medal was flown aboard Gemini 10, July 18-21, 1966, with crewmembers John Young and Michael Collins. The obverse depicts the mission insignia, a large Roman numeral "X" with both Gemini spacecraft and Agena target vehicle orbiting it and two stars, with the crew surnames above and below. The reverse has the flight name and dates engraved in block letters. Near excellent condition.
Included with this lot is a letter of authenticity signed "John W. Young" on his personal letterhead, stating: "I hereby certify that the accompanying silver-colored Gemini 10 Fliteline medal was flown aboard the mission July 18-21, 1966. It has been part of my personal collection since the mission."
