    Two Photographs of WWI American Aces, as follows: Gervais Raoul Lufbery (1895 - 1918), 6.25" x 7.25", dated May, 1917. Old paperclip stain, pencil notation on verso. Very good condition. Lufbery, a U.S citizen, was of mixed French-American parentage. He flew primarily with the Lafayette Escadrille and is credited with 17 confirmed kills; The second photo, 6.5" x 9", is unidentified, however might be of Frederick Warrington Gillet, an American who flew for Great Britain. Ownership inscription on verso, fine condition.
