    Description

Massive, Solid Bronze Signed Statue of Charles Lindbergh. A beautifully executed sculpture of Lindbergh in his flight suit, weighing about ten pounds. On the front side of the base is his name, and on the back is the sculptor's signature. Try as we might, we have not been able to decipher the signature, it appears to be a European name, perhaps French, and the last name is hyphenated. We supply a close-up in the hopes that the viewer may have more luck or knowledge than we! One on side of the base is "May 20 21 - 1927," and on the other "New York Paris." It would make sense that this piece may have been executed in France, as Lindbergh landed there and created quite a national sensation. Precise identification of the sculptor can only be an added plus, but in any case; this is one of the best-rendered Lindbergh bronzes we have ever seen, and in beautiful condition with rich, dark patina. Height 13".

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
