    Early Aviation Pioneers Signature Lot - Amelia Earhart, Eddie Rickenbacker, Clarence Chamberlain, and George Haldeman. An exceptional lot featuring the signatures of some of aviation's best known figures. The entire group was likely collected by Captain Francis Poindexter of the Army Air Corps Reserve as four of the signatures are written on the reverse of Capt. Poindexter's 3.25" x 1.5" engraved calling cards. Included are examples by aviatrix Amelia Earhart, First War ace Eddie Rickenbacker (signed at the top of a 3.5" x 6" First National Bank of Kansas City brochure), George W. Haldeman, a noted test pilot and holder of several aviation records, Clarence D. Chamberlain, the second man to fly a fixed-wing aircraft across the Atlantic (with a passenger), and Patrick Hurley, Secretary of War under Herbert Hoover. All examples are bright, bold and in fine condition. Also included is a 3.25" x 5" black and white photographic print of Amelia Earhart, uncharacteristically dressed in a skirt and wearing a hat, standing beside a high-wing, single engine aircraft.
