    Personalized 1973 Texas License Plate Belonging to Lone Wolf Gonzaullas. Standard issue 1973 Texas state license plate personalized to read: 19 TEXAS 73 / RANGER in red on white field. Paper label afixed to plate dated 2-9-74 and signed: M. T. GONZAULLAS/TEXAS RANGER CAPTAIN RET. Reverse with hand scratched monogram: TMG.

    Manuel Trazazas "Lone Wolf" Gonzaullas (1891-1977) was born in Spain. At the age of 20 he was a Major in the Mexican Army. He became a special agent in the United States Treasury Department in 1915. By 1920 he was a Texas Ranger. He retired as a Captain in 1951 and during that career actively fought the illegal activities that were common at that time including gambling, smuggling and prostitution. He was the first American of Spanish descent to become a Captain of the Texas Rangers. He was respected by his fellow rangers and received many commendations. After retirement he became a consultant for film, television and radio including the long running series, "Tale of The Texas Rangers."
