Early Petroliana: Five-Gallon Whizoil Tin Container. 12 1/2" tall 5-gallon tin container inscribed "Whizoil For Automobiles". It was manufactured by the R. M. Hollingshead Company of Camden, New Jersey. The front of the tin features an old-time touring car, circa 1915-1920. The back of the tin depicts the "Plant of The R. M. Hollingshead Co. Camden, N.J., U.S.A. The Largest of Its Kind in the World". The sides are printed with geometric cube designs which are an optical illusion of sorts. It is printed in blue, gold and white (non-painted surfaces appearing as silver) with Art Nouveau design elements. There is normal wear and light rust. We have seen Whizoil polish tins, but never one of these and therefore consider it to be rather special.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
