Astronaut Dr. Karl Henize's Gold NASA Flight Suit Originally from His Personal Collection. A standard issue NASA flight suit from the late 1960s era, owned and worn by Karl Henize. His ID label is at the neck beneath the Kings Point Mfg. Co. tag. An embroidered 2.75" diameter NASA "Meatball" patch is sewn on the right breast, a 4.5" x 2" Skylab patch is on the left sleeve, and a Velcro strip is sewn on the left breast where the nametag would be (not present). The suit features multiple zippers and pockets; there are tears at both lower leg pockets. Otherwise, fine condition.

Karl Henize, Ph.D. (1926-1993) was chosen by NASA as a scientist-astronaut in 1967 and was on the astronaut support crew for Apollo 15 as well as all three Skylab missions. This suit would have been worn during this time period. Henize flew into space once, in 1985, as a mission specialist on Space Shuttle Challenger (STS-51-F), the second Spacelab mission. He died in 1993 in an effort to climb Mount Everest.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
