    Description

    24¢ INVERTED CENTER

24c Green & Violet, Inverted Center (120b), bright green color and a light cork cancel that allows the fact that the center is inverted to be clearly seen; centered well to the left with a 1mm sealed tear in the right margin; fresh and desirable.

    Scott $22,500

A RELATIVELY ATTRACTIVE EXAMPLE OF THIS RARE CLASSIC INVERT. MANY OF WHICH ARE CANCELED SO HEAVILY THAT THE INVERTED CENTER IS DIFFICULT TO DISTINGUISH.

    Expertization: PSE Encapsulated graded 20

Only about 85 used examples are known, including two pairs, a block of four and a cover; and nearly all of them are faulty to some degree. In fact, Scott's value is for "fine centered examples with only minimal faults".
