    RARE STOCK EXCHANGE INVERT

1992, 29c Inverted N.Y. Stock Exchange Error (2630c), right sheet margin single with copyright inscription and a second partial impression of the inverted vignette; virtually perfectly centered and Post Office fresh with unblemished, never hinged original gum; Extremely Fine and choice.

    Scott $26,000

A SUPERLATIVE EXAMPLE OF ONE OF THE RAREST OF ALL U.S. ERRORS - ONLY 56 EXAMPLES ARE RECORDED, ONLY ABOUT HALF AS MANY AS THE MORE FAMOUS INVERTED JENNY.

    Expertization: 2007 PSE Certificate

Printed by the American Banknote Company in 1992, the stamp's design required two press runs. The first for the frame design in green and red and the second for the vignette design in black. When one sheet was misaligned on the second run, the error was created. To date only two panes have been discovered with each pane having 28 of the center inverted errors.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
