    Description

Rare Revenue - Possibly Unique as Mint

#R17a, 1862, 3c Green. (No Gum). Playing Cards. One of the rarest US Revenue stamps. Very fresh, four margins, possibly left side sheet margin copy. Beautiful deep rich color, strongly detailed engraving. Catalog value for used ($25,000) - is irrelevant. This copy apparently unique as Mint. Very Fine to Extremely Fine; 2008 PF Certificate. Scott Catalog Value does not list value for unused revenues. Scott editors note that unused revenues exist and that they sell for prices above the stated used values.
