Description

Skylab 1 (SL-2) Crew-Signed Photo from the Personal Collection of Mission Pilot Paul Weitz. An 8" x 10" color photo of the Skylab Orbital Workshop mounted to an 11" x 14" mat board. The three crewmembers, "Charles Conrad Jr.", "Joe Kerwin", and "Paul Weitz" have all signed in black ink on the mat beneath the photo. Skylab 2 was the first manned mission to Skylab, the first U.S. orbital space station, with a main duty of repairing the space station that had been damaged during launch. They were successful in that task and they established a new record for human spaceflight endurance with 404 Earth orbits in just over twenty-eight days.

Included with this stunning photo is a signed, handwritten Letter of Authenticity from Weitz on his personal letterhead stating that, "...This photo was taken by me during our post-undocking flyaround. It is from my personal collection of artifacts and has been in my possession ever since." Excellent condition.
