Project Mercury: Group of Seven Vintage NASA Type 1 Photos Depicting Recovery Operations for Mercury 3 & 4, with Additional NASA Mercury 4 Publication. Nice group of photos that show various events of the recovery process for both Mercury-Redstone 3 & 4. Included are four 7.5" x 10" B&W glossy-finish prints numbered S-61-2389, S-61-2390, S-61-2391, S-61-2393, featuring images of the Freedom 7 recovery. Each with "Official NASA Photograph" stamp on the verso. All very fine other than small tear to right side of image S-61-2389. An additional three 10" x 8" B&W glossy-finish prints numbered S-61-2818, S-61-2821, and S-61-2822 featuring images of the Liberty Bell 7 recovery also included. Each with "Official NASA Photograph" stamp on the verso. Very slight tears to lower left corners, otherwise fine. Lot also consists of a 7.75" x 10.25" paper booklet published by NASA containing information and photographs from Mercury 4. Great collection of Mercury artifacts.Auction Info
