The "Wright Flyer," December 17, 1903
Orville Wright Signed "First Aeroplane Flight" Photo. An
incredible 7" x 4.875" silver gelatin photo in an 11" x 9" period
custom mat, bearing a fountain pen signature on the photo itself:
"Orville Wright". The image depicts the Wright Flyer during
mankind's first sustained powered flight with Orville aboard and
Wilbur alongside, having just released his hand from the plane.
This iconic photo was taken by John T. Daniels. The printed caption
reads: "December 17, 1903 / First Aeroplane Flight / Kitty Hawk,
N.C." This is where it all started! Perfect for a framed display.
Light dampstain at lower border, otherwise very fine.
