Gemini 4 Vintage NASA "Red Number" Color Photo, Image S-65-30428: Ed White II EVA Over El Paso, Texas. An original chromogenic 10" x 8" print taken by Jim McDivitt of White performing America's first EVA above the Gulf of Mexico, used by LIFE Magazine for their June 18, 1965, cover, on Kodak fiber-based paper bearing the "A Kodak Paper" watermark on the verso. Excellent.Ed White became the first American to perform an EVA on June 3, 1965. This was a critical step in the Gemini program as Cosmonaut Alexei Leonov had been the first man to perform an EVA months earlier on Voskhod 2.
