Description
First Color Photograph Taken in Space. 8" x 10".This significant photo was taken by Major Gherman Stepanovich Titov aboard Vostok II on August 6-7, 1961. Titov, the second man to orbit the earth and the first man to take a picture and film from space, has signed and dated the photo in ink. Gagarin for some reason did not take a camera with him on the first spaceflight, so on Vostok II, Titov the man who spent the first day in space, was given the honor of being the first photographer and first cinematographer of the cosmos. This then is the first photo taken from space by a man in Earth's orbit. Fine condition.Auction Info
