Apollo 7, Apollo 8, Apollo 9, Apollo 12, Apollo 13, Apollo 15, Apollo 16, and Apollo 17: Crew-Signed Color Photos Directly from the Personal Collection of NASA Legend Manfred "Dutch" von Ehrenfried. A collection of precious mementos from this popular author who served in many capacities at NASA including Flight Controller (1961-1968). These have been on his wall for literally decades and, due to exposure to the sun, are faded in varying degrees. Please view high-res images on online. As follows.Apollo 7: An uncommon image of the three in flight suits, quite faded. Signed: "To Dutch, Warm Personal Regards,/ You were dead set on/ keeping us busy./ Thanks,/ Walt" (bold, unfaded); "Wally"; and "Donn" (both somewhat faded). Trimmed to 7" x 9.25".
Apollo 8: The popular white spacesuit crew pose photo, quite faded. Signed: "James Lovell" (no fading); "Bill Anders" (rare, faded); and "Frank Borman" (barely visible but could possibly be re-signed). Trimmed to 7.25" x 9.5".
Apollo 9: Outdoor white spacesuit crew photo, quite faded. Signed: "To Dutch von Ehrenfried/ Up, Up, & Away; Keep Em/ Flying; etc./ Rusty Schweickart"; "Dave Scott"; and "James McDivitt" (all lightly faded). Trimmed to 9.5" x 7.25".
Apollo 12: The common outdoor white spacesuit crew photo, lightly faded. Signed: "Charles Conrad Jr" (ballpoint, not faded) and "Dick Gordon" (heavily faded). The Alan Bean signature, if ever there, is not visible. Trimmed to 7.25" x 9.5".
Apollo 13: Flight crew business suit photo, most color faded away. Signed: "James Lovell" (barely visible); "Jack Swigert" and "Fred Haise" (bold, unfaded). Trimmed to 7.25" x 9.5".
Apollo 15: White spacesuit photo in Lunar Rover, barely faded. Signed: "For Dutch/ Best wishes from/ Apollo 15 Crew/ Jim Irwin" (ballpoint, not faded). Trimmed to 9.5" x 7.25".
Apollo 16: White spacesuit crew photo, lightly faded. Signed: "To Dutch/ with best wishes/ from Apollo 16' Ken Mattingly"; "John Young"; and "Charlie Duke" (all faded, Young not bad). Untrimmed, 10" x 8".
Apollo 17: Outdoor white spacesuit photo in Lunar Rover, barely faded. Signed: "H H Schmitt" (barely visible); "Gene Cernan" and "To Dutch/ Many Thanks/ & Our Best/ Wishes/ Ron Evans" (both fine). Untrimmed, 10" x 8".
Also included in this lot:
Dutch von Ehrenfried: A 10" x 8" color photo, signed: "Dutch von Ehrenfried/ Test of Neil Armstrong's/ Pressure Suit". From 1967 to 1970, Dutch was a spacesuit test subject. Excellent.
John Glenn: A faded Friendship 7 launch color photo signed: "Best regards/ to 'Dutch'- and/ many thanks for all/ the help-/ J H Glenn Jr." (lightly faded). Mounted to a mat board, trimmed to 7" x 9".
Wally Schirra: A NASA color litho print signed lightly: "Best wishes, Dutch/ Walter M Schirra Jr". Rare full signature. Trimmed to 7.5" x 10".
