Apollo 16 Vintage NASA "Red Number" Color Photos (Two), Images S-72-35347 & S-72-36293: Launch and Recovery. Two original chromogenic 8" x 10" prints of the launch and splashdown, on Kodak fiber-based paper bearing the "A Kodak Paper" watermark on the versos. As follows.
S-72-35347: This image was taken on April 16, 1972, capturing the launch of the Apollo 16 (Spacecraft 113/ Lunar Module 11/ Saturn 511) space vehicle from Pad A at the Kennedy Space Center. It holds historical value as it showcases the immense 363-feet tall Apollo 16 space vehicle as it embarks on its mission to the moon. Excellent.
