A stunning Apollo 11 signed display dedicated to European Royalty.

Apollo 11 Large Color Photo, Crew-Signed on Mat, Presented to Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands. A 13.75" x 10.75" color photo of Buzz Aldrin standing next to a seismic experiment on the moon with the Lunar Module Eagle and U.S. flag prominent in the background (NASA image #AS11-40-5948). It is mounted to a 20" x 16" matboard with the inscription and crew signatures beneath. In an unknown hand is written at left: "To His Royal Highness/ Prince Bernhard/ of the Netherlands/ From The Apollo 11 Crew". To the right are the crew's large individual signatures: "Neil Armstrong", "M Collins", and "Buzz Aldrin". Prince Bernhard (1911-2004) was the prince consort of Queen Juliana and the father of the current monarch Queen Beatrix. This was likely presented to the Prince when the Apollo 11 astronauts visited his country on October 9, 1969, during their world tour. A rare large-size Apollo 11 signed photo worthy of the finest collections. Overall excellent condition with the expected fading to the photo and the signatures.
