Description
Apollo 11 Color Lunar Photo Signed by Michael Collins. A 6.75" x 7" color photo of the Command Module Columbia above the lunar surface mounted to a 10.5" x 13.5" (sight size) matboard and framed to an overall 12" x 15". Signed on the photo: "To Paul/ Thanks for all you help./ Michael Collins/ Apollo 11". Collins orbited the moon in the Columbia while Armstrong and Aldrin descended to the surface. On the verso is a period typewritten label reading: "Given to Paul M. Sturtevant/ Special Asst., Gemini Program/ NASA, Houston, Texas 1969". This is a great match to the Armstrong & Aldrin item seen above. A couple of minor scratches on the frame, otherwise excellent.
