Description
Apollo 11 Flown Space Treaty Directly from the Personal Collection of Mission Lunar Module Pilot Buzz Aldrin. A 5.5" x 3.25" copy of the "Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies" printed on parchment paper. This was carried to the moon by Aldrin on the historic Apollo 11 mission. This treaty forms the basis for international space law. It was opened for signature in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union on January 27, 1967, and entered into force on October 10, 1967. Today, nearly 100 countries are party to this treaty. Excellent condition.Included with this lot is a signed letter of authenticity from Dr. Aldrin.
