Description

Apollo 11 Flown Kapton Foil Segment on Photo Presentation Certificate. A 0.5625" x 0.3125" triangular-shaped piece of the gold foil outer skin of the Command Module Columbia mounted to an 8" x 10" color silk finish photo of the launch on July 16, 1969. Included is Certificate of Authenticity #85, signed by Florian Noller of Spaceflori.com and stating: "Herewith I certify that the triangle Kapton foil swatch attached to the photo presentation is an authentic flown piece of the Apollo 11 Command Module's outer hull and has been removed after recovery and kept by Rockwell engineer O. W. Nasse. We have obtained the material then from Ken Havekotte who has bought the entire collection from Nasse." Also included is a photocopy of Havecotte's COA. It is also numbered and signed on the back of the presentation. Excellent.
