Description
Frank Borman Signed Apollo 8 "Lunar Photography Index" Map, Edition 3, May 1, 1969, with Certificate of Authenticity from Novaspace. "Sheet 4 of 4/ Targets of Opportunity (70mm)". A very detailed 57.75" x 10.5" paper lunar map with crater names. Various colored lines show photography targets. We note some familiar sites such as: "Ocean of Storms," "Apennine Mountains," and the "Sea of Tranquility." Signed in black felt tip beneath the legend: "'From Apollo 8, Good night, Merry Christmas and God bless all on Earth.'/ Frank Borman/ Apollo 8 CDR". This is the first signed mission map from Frank Borman we have offered. Novaspace COA included. Stored folded, fine.Auction Info
