    Engraved French Le Faucheux Pinfire Double Barrel Shotgun.

    Serial no. 4287 [barrels under lever], 12 gauge, 27 1/2-inch damascus barrels with fixed front sight and folding rear leaf sights. Elaborately scroll engraved levers, receiver, locks, hammers, tangs and triggerguard. Dual triggers. Smooth hardwood straight stock with metal buttplate. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 6175 / MEMORIAL.
    Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum, Part II.

    Condition: Very good. Overall showing scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Heavy scuffing and dings present to stock. Large 4-inch scratch to left side of stock. Actions crisp. Strong bores.
