    Engraved European Single Shot Shotgun.

    Unserialized, 20 gauge, 20-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked with (bird) / 1887. Scroll and scene engraved receiver. Checkered walnut straight stock and fore-end. Metal buttplate. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 3362 / MEMORIAL.
    Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum, Part II.

    Condition: Very good. Retaining traces of finish, the balance a smooth dark grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Action good. Bright bore.
