    Unserialized, .44 caliber, 25 5/8-inch barrels with fixed front and rear sights. Blued and case-hardened finish. Elaborately scroll engraved receiver, lever and hammers. (crown) / TW / I to top of lever, accented in gilt. Dual triggers. Checkered walnut straight stock and splinter fore-end. Horn triggerguard. Sling swivels. Scroll engraved, hinged storage to base of stock. Checkered metal buttplate. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 8401 / MEMORIAL.

    Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 70-80% finish with thinning to muzzle, light handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Action good. Bright bores.
