    *Cased 12 Gauge Boss Single Trigger Sidelock Ejector Double Barrel Shotgun. Serial no. 9010. 12 gauge. Maker's replacement 26-inch barrels with file cut flat rib. Barrels marked: Boss & Co. / 13/14 Cork Street, London. W1. Casehardened bar action engraved with very fine scroll and bouquets. Ejectors. Cocking indicators. Automatic safety. Beaded fences. Disc-set strikers. Maker's patented single non-selective trigger. Beaded triggerguard. Finely checkered possible replacement straight grip stock of semi figured contrasting dark walnut. Drop points. Checkered butt. Vacant gold oval. Finely checkered splinter fore-end with Anson-style release. Period leather trunk case with maker's label. Case with single brass lock and leather straps. 12 Boss written on lid in black marker at the front. Maroon baize interior. Cleaning rod and accessories. The maker indicates that the gun was finished in 1961/62 with 28-inch barrels which were replaced with 26-inch barrels at a later date. The maker has no information on the original stock length.

    Data: Barrel Dimensions: Bores 0.729/0.729 inches. Chokes: 0.027/0.034 inches. (Improved Modified) Chambers: 2 ¾ inches. Minimum wall thickness: 0.028 inches. Proof: London, Nitro, .729, .729, 2 ¾, 3 ¼ ton. Stock Dimensions: Pull: 15 ½ inches. Drop at comb: 1 3/8 inches. Drop at heel: 2 1/8 inches. Cast-off: 3/16 inches. Weight: 6 pounds, 13 ounces.
    Condition: Excellent. Barrels show 94-96% bluing with a few light scratches and a ½ inch wear mark on the right barrel at the breech. Left barrel shows a slight bulge at the muzzle. Excellent bright bores. Action shows 50-60% mostly muted case colors over a gray casehardened base. Triggerguard shows 94-96% re-blued finish with two small nicks and a slight nick. Stock shows a few small nicks and impressions. Stock also shows areas of raised grain. Fore-end shows a few light marks. Case in very good condition with some scuffing on the exterior and five US customs stickers. Interior shows a few losses to the lid and needs cleaning.
