    Serial no:. 25395. 12 gauge. 30-inch barrels with game rib. Casehardened bar action sidelock engraved with bold foliate scroll. Ejectors. Automatic safety. Gold-lined cocking indicators. Finely checkered straight grip stock of dark highly figured walnut. Diamond cross-section grip. Drop points. Silver's style recoil pad. Gold oval marked: M.D. Finely checkered splinter fore-end with Anson-style release. Data: Barrel dimensions: Bore dimensions: 0.738/0.738 inches. Chokes: 0.004/0.013 inches. Chambers: 2 ½ inches. Proof: London, Nitro, 12,12, 1 1/8. Minimum wall thickness: 0.020 inches. Stock Dimensions: Pull: 14 ½ inches. Drop at comb: 1 ½ inches. Drop at heel. 2 ½ inches. Weight: 6 pounds, 6 ounces. Tan leather deluxe double gun case with inside lid. Maker's leather label. Leather pouch with pull-through. 4 snap caps. Bone striker container with 4 sets of strikers. Oil bottle. Cartridge extractor. Canvas and leather case cover with straps. Case and cover marked: Marcus Daly. Condition: Fine, showing considerable use. Barrels show 80-85% bluing with some marks. Left barrel shows a repaired dent. Excellent bright bores. Small amount of a deposit at joint of rib and left barrel. Action shows 65-70% dark case colors. Triggerguard shows 80-90% bluing with some losses to tang. Stock shows a dull finish with a few nicks and scratches. Fore-end shows a ¾ inch area of losses and a dull finish. Case in fine condition with some nicks and scratches and scuffing to edges. Interior in fine condition with some wear and discoloration. Canvas cover in good condition with some tears and discoloration. Gun is from the Marcus Daly family collection. Gun dates to 1908. The Holland & Holland records show that the gun was ordered by Gerard for Daly.
