    Cased 10 Gauge Hammer Gun by W.C. Scott & Son.
    Serial no. 30792, 10 ga., 30-inch ribbed barrels with brass bead and address reading: W.C. SCOTT & SON. MAKERS AND PATENTEES. LONDON. Underside of barrels with black powder proof marks and NOT FOR BALL. Case-hardened lock and action. Fine scroll-engraving to lever, lock plates and hammer screws. Lock plates and lever with maker's name. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock. Engraved and checkered fore end. Circular silver escutcheon. Triggerguard marked with serial number as well as interesting castle tower crest in oval. Checkered hard rubber buttplate retained by engraved screws. Contained in period leather-covered hardwood case with felt-lined compartments. Sold together with 3-piece ebonized cleaning rod, each section marked: B.G.I.CO.PAT APR 3, 83 and two measuring tools marked: JAMES DIXON AND SONS.

    Condition: Fine. Retaining approximately 90-95% rich damascus brown to barrels and equal amount of vibrant case-colors. All markings sharp. Small patches of fine pitting at the breech. Wood appears to have been lightly dressed at some point. Bright bores showing very light wear. Small chips to heel of buttplate.
