    Description

Woman's Suffrage: Extremely Rare Oregon Suffrage Umbrella. An umbrella or parasol, 35" long, opening to 40" in diameter, is in the colors of yellow and white, and was probably issued by the Woman Suffrage Party of New York, which was known for organizing a number of parades and demonstrations in the New York City area. The name of the state of Oregon appears on two of the panels, and looks to have been added after manufacture. Similar umbrellas with the names of other states have appeared in the past, and it is likely that they were all single issues for a specific event. One of the long ribs has broken where it attaches at the top and there some very light age. Overall an excellent example.
