    Description

William Jennings Bryan: A Terrific Full Color 1¼" Design. A very similar version exists in sepia which, while rare, does appear from time to time, usually fetching at least $2000-$3000. We cannot recall seeing a colored example on the market since Heritage sold the Hake Book plate specimen, which had minor foxing, for $7140 in 2005. The Bryan Campaign made a strong outreach to American labor, but McKinley retained considerable labor backing because of the Republican's staunch support of protective tariffs. Choice condition and clearly one of the premier items in the auction.
