    Description

Unique Hand-painted Blaine & Logan Campaign Banners. Oil on canvas, 50" x 60", suspended from painted wood dowels, circa 1884. Two one-of-a-kind banners featuring portraits of James G. Blaine and John A. Logan painted by an unknown artist of the period. Both banners have been rolled up and as such have retained their original bright colors. Both pieces exhibit only moderate storage wear but would be rare in any condition as these types of banners were produced for single campaign stops and thus would have been considered disposable.
